From a Purchasing Brief to an Approved Bridal Hair Comb Sample
A customer wanted a branch-style rhinestone comb to complement a low updo and veil. Happy Accessory worked through the design brief and sample feedback to reach an approved sample.

1. Requirements: consider appearance, placement and presentation together
The customer wanted a decorative focal point with a naturally spreading branch silhouette. The comb also needed to work with the intended low updo and the position of the veil attachment.
The discussion went beyond asking for a more delicate appearance. It considered decorative coverage, branch direction, decorative height and visual balance. Product identification, display and storage needs were discussed separately from the wearing arrangement.
| Purchasing concern | Details to review |
|---|---|
| Branch silhouette | Spread, direction, decorative height and visual balance |
| Wearing position | Relationship to the low updo and veil attachment |
| Product confirmation | Front and side appearance, dimensions, weight, materials and finish |
| Product presentation | Style identification, individual protection, display and storage needs |
2. Solution: turn styling preferences into specific design decisions
Happy Accessory reviewed three areas: the decorative outline, the position of the decoration relative to the comb teeth, and the customer’s presentation requirements.
The outline shaped the overall look, while the relationship between the teeth and decoration influenced placement. Reviewing these separately made it easier to connect feedback to a specific part of the design and establish what needed to be checked on the sample.
For the buyer, this turned a visual preference into product details that could be compared and discussed.
3. Sample refinement: review veil clearance and visual balance
The first sample review focused on the relationship between the decorative branches and the veil attachment, as well as the visual balance of the comb in its intended position.
Refinement focused on branch direction, decorative height and the position of the decoration relative to the teeth. The review considered the side profile and the space needed when fitting or removing the veil, alongside the front appearance.

The revised sample was reviewed again for its outline and placement. The discussion moved from whether the style matched the original idea to whether a specific sample version met the requirements.
4. Outcome: an approved sample and a clearer purchasing direction
The project reached sample approval after design discussion and refinement. The customer’s styling requirements had been translated into a defined comb design, with appearance and wearing position evaluated at the sample stage.
The result described here is sample approval. Bulk quantities, production arrangements, packaging and shipping remain separate order-confirmation matters.
This case shows how Happy Accessory approached accessory development: clarify the intended use, discuss concrete design details, respond to sample feedback and establish a product direction for the next purchasing decision.
