How to Request Bridal Accessory Samples
Updated 12 October 2026
Start with the exact style
A sample is useful when it answers a specific purchasing question: does this comb fit the hairstyle, does the finish match the collection, or does the belt work with the dress? Send the product link, SKU, colour and the feature you need to check. For an OEM project, add a drawing or reference image and identify the changes.

Match the sample check to the product
A useful sample request names both a style and a question to resolve. These are buyer checks to agree with the supplier, not claims that a particular test has already been performed.
| Catalogue example | What to check on the selected sample | What to confirm before approval |
|---|---|---|
| HS-J7467G comb | Placement, tooth spacing, decorative alignment and visible finish with the intended hairstyle. | Use this model’s own dimensions and weight; record the colour and attachment agreed for the order. |
| WS-J264S belt | Decorative-section position, ribbon or fastening arrangement and fit with the intended dress. | Ask for decorative length and total length separately, and confirm how the sample is measured. |
| TS-J2955S headband collection | Select one exact model first; compare fit, attachment and appearance using that model’s sample. | A collection photograph or “zircon” title does not confirm the selected model’s material or dimensions. |
When is a sample ready for a purchasing decision?
- Approve against a written specification with the SKU, colour and version recorded. If something differs, describe the change and ask whether a revised sample is needed.
- For several styles, keep a separate approval record for each. Approval of one comb does not approve another style, a headband or a belt.
Existing style or custom sample?
| Your request | Information to send | Confirm before payment |
|---|---|---|
| An existing catalogue style | Product URL, exact SKU, colour and sample quantity. | Whether the selected style is available; the exact photo and specification that apply to it. |
| A modified or new design | Reference image or drawing, dimensions, materials, finish, attachment and intended order quantity. | Feasibility, sample scope, any tooling or development charge, revision terms and an agreed schedule. |
Separate the costs and the dates
- Ask for the sample charge, any development charge, packaging and freight as separate quotation lines. A 1-piece sample reference does not mean a free sample.
- Confirm whether a sample charge can be credited against a later order and the conditions. Credit or refund is not automatic.
- Provide the destination country and required arrival date. Ask for the preparation date, dispatch date and transport estimate separately.
- If you need branded packaging or a label, specify dimensions, artwork, quantity and destination requirements. Available options and their minimum quantities require confirmation.
Make your sample approval usable
Keep the SKU, specification version, sample photographs and any requested changes together. The following is a buyer’s review checklist; it does not describe a certified factory inspection procedure.
- Compare dimensions, weight, attachment and the appearance against the written specification, rather than a gallery image showing another style.
- For a comb, review tooth spacing, attachment comfort, decorative alignment and the visible finish. For a belt, check the decorative section and fastening with the intended dress.
- Record missing stones, visible rough areas, colour differences or other observations with close-up photographs. Agree acceptable tolerances and the action for a failed check before the bulk order.
- If you require a test report, specify the selected material, market and test scope. Check that any report actually covers the relevant sample and items.
A catalogue example to discuss
HS-J7467G rhinestone hair comb has a catalogue specification of 6 × 14.5 cm, 21 g and 1 piece per OPP bag. Use that style’s own specification as the starting point; do not apply it to a headband or another comb. Confirm the current sample and quotation before ordering.
Questions before you order
Can I request one piece?
The business reference is one sample piece. Confirm that the selected SKU and colour are available and obtain a quotation first.
Is the sample free or refundable?
Sample charges, freight and any later credit are quotation-specific. No free-sample or refund promise is made here.
Does approving a sample start production?
Confirm the final specification, order quantity, commercial terms and production schedule separately. Keep your written sample approval with the order.
Choose a product and continue
Open the relevant catalogue record, note the exact SKU and colour, then include them in your enquiry. A gallery collection can contain several different models.
Prepare the sample request first; confirm bulk quantities separately in the MOQ guide.
